Kandi South Africa Golf Cart and UTV Pre-ride Inspections and Servicing Considerations

Prior to using any golf cart, as with any conventional vehicle, the following basic checks should be carried out to ensure a trouble free ride: 

Tyres: 

The condition of all 4 tyres should be verified to ensure that they are not damaged and that they are filled to the correct tyre pressure. 

Battery: 

Ensure that all electrical wiring is intact and that good contact with the battery terminals are made. 

Brakes: 

Periodic checks of the brake fluid reservoir level should be made as well as the adjustments for brakes and parking brake. Ensure that the brake system hoses are not kinked or leaking. Any issues would require the vehicle to be inspected and serviced by an authorised Kandi South Africa service centre. Brakes should be tested at low speed. 

Brake Pedal: 

Ensure that when depressing the brake pedal, that it feels firm, has adequate play and that it  does not does not stick.

Accelerator Pedal: 

Ensure that when depressed that the accelerator pedal feel firm, does not stick and has  sufficient free play. Any issues should be discussed with your local authorised Kandi South Africa service centre, and the vehicle in question should be booked in for a service. 

Lights: 

Verify that the vehicle’s headlights, taillights and indicators (if installed) are functioning correctly. 

Wheels: 

Wheel and axle nuts should be tightened appropriately and secured with cotter pins. Any wheel assembly damage would require a visit to an authorized Kandi South Africa Service Center. 

Steering: 

The steering system should be firm and have no play when turned. 

Loose Parts: 

A general inspection of the vehicle should be carried out to ensure that there are no loose nuts, bolts or obvious parts. 

Safety Gear: 

Be sure that all occupants are wearing suitable a helmet, eye goggles and suitable clothing. 

Seat Belts: 

Seat belts should be worn at all times. 

Any abnormalities should be discussed with your local Kandi Service Centre and an inspection and or service booked if required.
