Transporting Your Golf Cart, UTV or Side by Side

From time to time you may need to transport your golf cart, UTV or side by side.
When loading your vehicle, carefully position your golf cart, UTV or side by side taking cognisance of your trailer’s centre of gravity.

Be sure that your golf cart, UTV or side by side is securely strapped down and secured to the trailer at multiple points.

Ideally, your vehicle should be transported safely ensconced within a closed trailer.

Transporting your golf cart, UTV or side by side on an open trailer is done at your own risk and damage incurred during transportation is done at the owner’s risk. The following procedures are designed to minimize damage to your golf cart, UTV or side by side during the transportation.

Transporting your vehicle

Be sure to strap down your vehicle’s roof panel using regular ratchet straps, securing the roof to the frame of the vehicle in multiple locations. Be sure not to use excessive force. The roof panel may be blow off if it is secured correctly.

If your vehicle is fitted with a free flow windscreen, be sure to remove and securely stow away the windscreen prior to transportation. Should you wish to leave the windscreen installed, be sure to cover the screen with multiple layers of a padded protective layer such as bubble wrap, and then secure the screen with nylon ratchet straps in at least 4 locations, being 2 along the horizontal and two along the vertical plain.

This will minimize damage to the windscreen should something strike the screen at high speed. Where you intend to travel at speeds exceeding 40Km/h, it is best to remove the screen.
